Why Mobility Training

Because it helps you become stronger and more supple at the same time. And yes, that’s a good thing.

Imagine this, you’re a bit older now. You used to be really active, played lots of sports, but now it isn’t the same as it used to be. You’ve accumulated injuries, aches and pains and now have less confidence when you try to do the activities you used to do care-free. This is called movement anxiety.

You think it will be fine when you book that 5-day surf trip or compete in that long-distance trail race, but then again, you’re not sure. You’re nervous. At this point, you have more injuries than you can count, some of them are chronic, but you’re not willing to throw in the towel because movement and continuing pursuing your passions are non-negotiables, integral to your being.

You know that the path you are on currently, isn’t working, isn’t sustainable. Something needs to change but you’re not sure what it is.

Enter mobility training.

First, it starts off with a quick daily mobility routine where you move all of your joints, every day. Then you add training aimed at strengthening weak and stiff areas.

Over time, you begin to notice how much more in-tune with your body you feel as your aches and pains begin to disappear. It’s not surprising, as you now understand your body and its need for positive movement inputs. You start feeling a lot more confident when you do the activities you love and worry less and less about what you think you cannot do.

Kinstretch®, Functional Range Conditioning® and Functional Range Assessment® are training and assessment systems quickly being adopted by top professional athletes and coaches around the world to improve the longevity and performance of their athletes.

Training has evolved, and athletes are now adopting a smarter, more holistic approach to their careers both short-term and long-term.

Is this type of training also beneficial for non-athletes? Absolutely!

We use the above training methods as vital training tools in both personal training and in our online classes to achieve profound results safely, whether the goal is rehabilitation from past injuries or improving performance for elite-level sports.

It’s all about the joints.

If you want to become stronger while becoming more mobile, you need each joint in the body to do its job well. Every movement you do, starts at the deepest level, from our joints, so why wouldn’t we start our training there?

Healthy human first. Athlete second.

Our goal is to make you the healthiest, most resilient version of you first. You can’t be a healthy athlete, without being a healthy human, so that is where you will begin your journey.

We are happy to have you on board with a smarter, more sustainable approach to your health and fitness and are here to help you make the most of your movement journey.
